About us
Show This in Seoul
Made by a Seoul local team, for visitors who don't read Korean.
Who we are
A small team of Seoul locals. We make short videos and this free site.
Details
We live in Seoul and check things the way a local friend would. We'd rather show our sources than our faces: every fact on this site says where it comes from and when we checked it.
We plan and advise. We're not a travel agency and we don't make bookings.
What we check, and how
Official pages first, always with the date we checked.
Details
- Hours, fees and closed days: each place's official site, the Korea Heritage Service, Seoul city, Visit Seoul and VisitKorea.
- Entry and arrival: the e-Arrival card site, the Ministry of Justice, Korea Customs Service and Incheon Airport.
- Restaurants: official sites, the MICHELIN Guide, Seoul's Taste of Seoul 100, Kakao Map menus and dated visitor reviews.
- Every week a script re-opens every source link and flags any fact older than 90 days, so we check it again.
- Lines marked "local tip" are our own advice, not official rules.
We never take money to rank places
No restaurant, shop or app can pay for a spot or a better place on a list.
Details
What we pick and in what order comes from our own checks and scores. If a business offers money or free things for a spot, the answer is no.
Affiliate links
None today. If we ever add one, it will say "Partner".
Details
Later we may link to things like eSIMs, tours or stays and earn a small commission if you buy. Those links will be labeled "Partner", cost you nothing extra, and never change our rankings or what we call best.
How we make money
The site and PDFs are free. The Seoul Trip Pack is paid (coming soon).
Details
The Trip Pack is sold through Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record: it takes the payment, handles sales tax and shows on your card statement. 7-day refund.
