Most museums close one day a week. Put your date into our closed-day checker, then pick from the lists below.

National Museum of Korea 국립중앙박물관
Free. Open on Mondays. Closed Jan 1, Seollal day and Chuseok day. Open until 21:00 on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
National Palace Museum of Korea 국립고궁박물관
Free. Closed on the last Monday of each month, not every Monday.
Seoul Museum of History 서울역사박물관
Free. Closed Mondays, but open when a Monday is a public holiday.
War Memorial of Korea 전쟁기념관
Free. Closed Mondays. Last entry 17:00.
Starfield Library (COEX) 별마당 도서관
Free. Open every day, 10:30–22:00.

Lotte World Adventure 롯데월드 어드벤처
Mostly indoors. Its outdoor Magic Island rides stop below 0°C, above 30°C, in strong wind, or in rain of 0.2 mm or more.
Lotte World Aquarium 롯데월드 아쿠아리움
Open every day. Hours change by date. Entry ends 1 hour before closing.
SEA LIFE COEX Aquarium 코엑스 아쿠아리움
Open every day of the year. Last entry 1 hour before closing.
Lotte World Tower Seoul Sky 서울스카이
Open every day. On a cloudy day the view may be grey.

Starfield COEX Mall 스타필드 코엑스몰
Connected directly to Samseong Station (Line 2) and Bongeunsa Station (Line 9). Open every day, 10:30–22:00.
The Hyundai Seoul 더현대 서울
Department store in Yeouido. It closes about one day a month (in October 2026: Monday Oct 19), so check before you go.

Cheonggyecheon Stream: the walkway along the water closes in advance when rain is forecast. Walk at street level instead.
Namsan Cable Car: stops in bad weather.
Banpo Moonlight Rainbow Fountain: cancelled in wind of 7 m/s or more or when rain is forecast. No shows from November to mid-March.
Bukhansan trails: close during weather warnings.
Seoul Grand Park zoo: animals may go indoors early in bad weather. From November to February it closes at 17:00.

January is Seoul's coldest month, with an average of −1.9°C (1991–2020).
About 63% of Seoul's yearly rain falls in June, July and August.
A cold wave advisory can mean morning lows of −12°C or below for 2 days or more. A warning: −15°C or below.
A heavy snow advisory means 5 cm or more of snow in 24 hours.
